Reviews for Sal De Riso Ristorante & Bistrot
Review highlights
Based on 206 reviewsSal De Riso Ristorante & Bistrot in Minori is widely praised for its inviting atmosphere, scenic terrace, and attentive staff, contributing to a relaxed dining experience amidst the bustling Amalfi Coast. The restaurant's strengths lie in its expertly crafted desserts, especially pastries and lemon-based specialties, which consistently receive high commendation. Traditional Italian dishes such as pasta and fried zucchini flowers also stand out for their quality and flavor, although some reviews note variability in certain dishes like fried fish or tomatoes. Coffee offerings are well-regarded, often paired successfully with the sweet treats. While the overall experience is positive, occasional service inconsistencies have been mentioned, though they do not overshadow the establishment’s charm and culinary appeal.
We really enjoyed our “late lunch” here. The decoration is relaxing, the staff are nice, and the food was delicious. We had the caprese salad (tomatoes were not great but the mozzarella was), mixed fried fish (lacked a bit of flavor), the fried zucchini flowers (fantastic!), and the lemon ice cream (both the sorbet and the cream). It was a nice respite from the crazy busy Amalfi coast. I highly recommend sitting inside, where the atmosphere is much more inviting. We thought it was slightly overpriced but we still enjoyed it very much.
Loved it! We rented a boat but unfortunately I felt sick so my family dropped me off and I was waiting for them in this bistro. I had a great time. I ordered some coffee, cake and beer and got some free snacks! The atmosphere was amazing and the staff great! I had a fabulous time waiting for my family to finish their boat trip! Thank you
One of our favorite places on amalfi coast. Everything really good. Especially the sweets/cakes are incredible and must try on the beautiful terrace. Pasta also excellent.
My wife and I visited Sal De Riso and chose to sit outside for a cozy coffee and dessert, and the flavors were absolutely spot on. The pastries lived up to their reputation especially the Caprese al Limone which was fresh, balanced, and simply irresistible. The coffee was perfectly crafted, making for a wonderful pairing. However, when it came to service, we noticed a stark contrast. The three ladies who welcomed us were fantastic, warm, professional, and smiling, truly making us feel valued as guests. Unfortunately, our experience with one of the staff members—a bald gentleman—was disappointing. His attitude felt dismissive and unhelpful, which took away from the otherwise excellent atmosphere. Despite this, Sal De Riso remains a solid spot for indulgent desserts and quality coffee. If the entire service team matched the high standards set by the welcoming staff, the experience would have been flawless.
A hidden gem in the charming town of Minori. We were kindly directed from the terrace café to the main restaurant for lunch, where we were warmly welcomed by Jimmie — a very friendly and attentive waiter who made the experience even more enjoyable. We tried a delicious selection of dishes, including traditional Ndunderi pasta from Minori, zucchini flowers in tempura with anchovies, lobster, octopus, and excellent desserts like the classic Neapolitan Babà and fresh fruit gelato. Everything was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Only later did we realize the restaurant is part of the renowned Sal De Riso group, famous for its outstanding Italian desserts. A must-visit spot on the Amalfi Coast!
Easily the best meal we had during our week on the Amalfi Coast. Lovely location away from hustle and bustle. The staff were delightful and very attentive.
A very good option on amalfi coast.. quick service, the lasagna was one of best we have ever had. Service and atmosphere was top notch
5 stars all around Definitely give this a visit if you’re in the area. Food was incredible - we ordered pizza’s and there was such a good variety to choose from. Food was cooked to perfection. Not to mention they know how to make a very good Aperol Spritz. Finally we were served by a lovely gentleman. I wish I knew his name but he was an incredibly kind man from Ravello. Service was impeccable, we felt well looked after and welcomed. If you can manage more food after your main, they also have a wonderful dessert place inside - TikTok famous too!
